My father, known as Mickey, was a career officer in the US Army Signal Corps and a veteran of World War II, where he served in the Pacific, the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He joined the army during the height of the depression, having coincidentally taken a high school class building radios from a retired Signal Corps officer using scrap army equipment.
He continued his army career until the early 70’s. He was buried in Arlington National Cemetery in early September.
